Tyler Hewstone

Page on myself

Hi, My Names Tyler!

i have been playing guitar as a hobby now for just over the year and I'm really getting the hang of it, but like i explained its just a hobby. when I'm older i plan on stepping into a music business of some sort, if i were to choose i would like to either become an events manager, an owner of a record label or a own my own music shop and teach other how to play instruments.

some of my guitar playing can be see here

from what i have seen from the music entrepreneurs i can spot out some traits and characteristics and how i may be able to use them in my own entrepreneurial endeavours

For instance in how Jim Marshall was able to sell his amplifiers and make new ones based on what people asked for. it was what people wanted and it was what he gave them. making his trait in making products to suit his audience very noticeable. he is also seen as a risk taker as he has decided not to build amps in the standard way like many other companies do, he has decided to come up with his own way proving that he has a characteristic of trying to be different and standing out. this is what helped him build up his business and changed the face of guitar amplification. from him i can learn that to be a good businessman you need to do things a little differently or come up with something completely new, you must do this because you don't want to be making the same thing as everyone else. because this will not sell. i can also learn that you must put the customer first and give them what they want. this relates back to doing things differently as your customers might want something new and different.

i can also learn from Richard Branson that he was able to expand and grow his business by taking risks. one of the risks he took was leaving secondary school to start Virgin records, there is a lot of risk here because he has no education under his belt and is stepping into a line of hard work at a young age, another risk he took was opening up virgin superstores. he ended up selling it in the end as it did not work the way he wanted it to. He also has a multitasking characteristic as he is able to run over 200 companies by himself, with help from some of the companies stewards. he also has a musical trait as he managed to start a business in records and grow his business into one of the biggest record labels out there. i can apply these skills to my business by staying cautious with my business and taking beneficial risks when the opportunity arises, i must do this because this is how i will expand and grow my business. i can also learn that in order to become a successful leader i must also learn how to juggle many tasks and deal with them in the best way i can, this will allow me to multitask and handle more things at once.
